The Nordheim Gallery
The Nordheim Gallery was established in 1990 by Covington Independent Public Schools. It is located across from the Jack Moreland Auditorium in the Senior Building of Holmes High School. The gallery is for students' fine arts enrichment and serves as an outreach to the community.
Through the years, the work of hundreds of regional and visiting artists, who work in a variety of fine art and craft media, has been exhibited.
Student and staff artwork is featured annually, giving the artists an authentic audience for their work.
Holmes students sometimes visit the gallery with their teachers during class time. Lectures, discussions, and collaborative activities have covered a broad range of topics including art elements, principles of design, artistic process, cultural traditions, careers in art, art as therapy, social movements, history, criticism, and illustration.
The community is invited and can access the gallery during special events on campus or by appointment. Holmes alumni are especially encouraged to exhibit their art work. Please contact Gallery Director Trisha Brundage for more information at 859-292-3960 or firstname.lastname@example.org
